Why is my recording not clear?

We record directly from the mixing desk, pre-fader and pre-effects. Because we record every single channel from the desk, sometimes we record channels that are not in use or have empty mics attached, which can affect our automix (currently). This means that some of the noise from empty channels can be heard in the automix. However, once you have the multi-channels, you can mute the empty or noisy channels and retain a perfect mix of your set!
