# Who owns the recordings?

First and foremost, we have no legal right to do anything with the recordings without you, the artists, express permission. All recordings are kept safely in our secure cloud and will not be used without your agreement.

Setmixer owns the master rights to the recordings; however, the artists retain both the performance and composition copyright (if it is an original song). We cannot and will not do anything with any of the recordings without the expressed permission of the artists involved.
